Since 1920
Our History
The roots of our company trace back to the 1920s, when the great-grandfather of our current co-owner opened a shoe-repair shop in Gaspésie. The business later moved to the Saguenay region, where it continued to grow and evolve.
In 1994, the third generation added a shoe store to the workshop and founded Savard Atelier, specializing in custom industrial health-and-safety equipment.
In 2022, the fourth generation, Jessica Savard, took the helm of the company and partnered with Michèle Houde, who had been directing the workshop for many years. This fresh chapter also marked the rebranding of Savard Atelier to SAVACO.
